Golf Club Varese is located in an ancient convent, built in the XIIth Century by Magistri Cumacini, where the Benedictine Sisters used to live up to the XVth Century, when St. Carlo Borromeo had it closed.
Golf was first introduced in Varese in 1897 with a course, set in the beautiful park surrounding the Grand Hotel Excelsior, nowadays the residence of the Prefect.

The restaurant and bar are part of the club house complex and are managed by Chef Giovanni Maretti.
The main dining room features picture windows looking towards the 18th green.
In good weather the splendid terrace allows members and visitor to enjoy the Chef’s cooking while taking in the spectacular view towards the 1st hole and the lake of Varese.
